Our February Cook Of The Month is Yvonne Burkee from Milwaukee, WI who emailed us with her first cooking day experience.

Yvonne works full-time (60 hrs/week!) as a Human Resource Manager. Her husband works 3rd shift, and she has a 16-year old son. She also has two married daughters and 3 grandchildren.
Yvonne says, "Cooking this way has been great. It allows me the opportunity to cook other fun things like cookies and special desserts. I'm looking forward to my planning session next week and cooking again in about two weeks."

"Thank you so much for The Freezer Cooking Manual. I purchased it a couple of weeks ago and my friend and I cooked this last weekend. We spent $436 and since our families eat approximately the same amount of food, we split the cost down the middle. This means we are feeding 8 people (4 adults & 4 kids, including 2 teenage boys) for $54.50 a week!!!! The worksheets were wonderful and so far everyone likes everything. Lynne and I cooked on Saturday from 3:00 to 12:15 and on Sunday from 1:00 to 10:30. Then we sat in the hot tub for about an hour! That was a great reward! We figured it took us so long because we also made some desserts and breakfast foods. Since my husband works 3rd shift, we did all of the cooking at Lynne's house and her husband asked us if we were sure this was all worth it because he was getting exhausted just watching us! Lynne and I had a great time and are looking forward to planning, cooking, talking, and spending time together again. Thanks again and may God continue to bless your friendship."
