Dear Nanci,
My best
friend/next door neighbor and I have been freezer
cooking together for two years. I saw you present
at the Hearts At Home conference in Rochester, MN
and you inspired hours of fun and craziness in my
kitchen! Our latest brainstorm involved our annual
private school auction/fundraiser. We decided to
donate 10 freezer meals. My cooking partner used
her scrapbooking skills to design an adorable red
and white checked page complete with 3-D
embellishments of cooking apron, spatula and
rolling pin stickers. We typed up a freezer "menu"
with several options and attached it to the large
scrapbook page. We anxiously watched the evening
of the auction to see just what type of interest
would be shown in our new idea. To out great
surprise the silent auction bidding was intense.
Can you believe our 10 simple freezer meals
auctioned off for $175! That's $17.50 p/casserole!
We were delighted. The next week we made 70 meals
in one day -30 for, her, 30 for me and our 10
donated meals. Thanks so for the inspiration. We
LOVE freezer cooking.
Sincerely,
Melynda
PS At the Pampered Chef
cooking party I attended last night, freezer
cooking quickly became the topic of the night. The
gal who hosted the party had been freezer cooking
for a year with her cousin. (I had told here all
about it last fall). At the party we poured over
your book, looked at her downloaded recipe book
and discussed which recipes we liked the best. The
Pampered Chef girl could not believe what she was
hearing and is SOOOO going to get into this
herself. He comment "We just moved into a new
house and I've only cooked two meals this entire
month. I soooo need to do this!" I also shared the
freezer cooking with my sister-in-law who lives
many states away in Denver, CO. She just had her
1st baby and has started coop cooking with her
church small group. She needed a new cook book so
I gave her your web site so she will be ordering
soon. We just can't help spreading the excitement!
