Soy sauce

Sweet & sour sauce; divided

1 C.

Crushed pineapple; drained

Assembly Directions:
Burgers: For each recipe, combine ground turkey, dry bread crumbs, soy sauce, ground ginger and 1/4 C. of sweet and sour sauce. Shape into 6 burgers.

Sauce: For each recipe, combine 3/4 C. sweet and sour sauce with 1 C. drained, crushed pineapple.

Freezing Directions:

Burgers: 

1. Freeze raw burgers to cook later OR

 

2. Cook burgers on grill, stovetop, or broiler. Cool.

Place burgers in freezer bag or rigid containers. Add bagged sauce. Label and freeze.

Sauce: Pour into quart-sized freezer bag. Label and freeze with burgers.

To serve: Thaw burgers and sauce. Cook or warm burgers. Warm sauce in microwave or on stovetop.

Comments:
These taste great and are favorites at our family “Survivor” parties. The kids eat them on buns with ketchup and mustard. The adults smother them with the sauce. Yummy! Ground turkey is usually much cheaper than ground beef and better for you!
