Assembly Directions: Mix all the seasonings together in a bowl. Store in an airtight container.
Serving Directions for Potatoes: Wash potatoes. Cut potatoes in half length-wise. Slice halves into 1/4-inch slices. Place potatoes in stockpot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and boil for 5 to 10 minutes. Do not overcook the potatoes. They should not be mushy. Place slices in mixing bowl. Pour oil over top. Stir potatoes to thoroughly coat with oil. Sprinkle two tablespoons of the seasoning mix on the potatoes. Stir to mix. Heat grill to 350 degrees or a medium heat.
To grill potatoes using a grill packet: Tear off a 12 x 18 inch sheet of aluminum foil. Place the potatoes in the middle of the foil. Bring short ends of the foil together and fold twice. Center the fold in the middle of the packet and flatten. Close up ends of packet. Place packet on the grill and cook for 15 to 20 minutes or until potatoes are lightly browned.
To grill potatoes using a vegetable grilling plate or cookie sheet: Place the grilling place on the grill while grill is heating to the correct temperature. Place the potatoes on the vegetable rack. Cook for about 15 to 20 minutes or until potatoes are lightly browned turning the potatoes every 4 or 5 minutes.
Serving Directions for French Fries: Place frozen French fries on a cookie sheet. Sprinkle with seasoning mix. Heat grill to 350 degrees or a medium heat. Cook for about 15 to 20 minutes turning every 4 to 5 minutes to prevent burning. Fries should be crisp when done.
Comments: We purchased our vegetable grilling plate at Kroger. It’s great! It has an adjustment on it that allows you to control the size of the plate by expanding and contracting it. Cooking sides on the grill is fun and tasty way to keep the heat out of the kitchen in the summer.
