A Christmas Gift Idea . . .

Place these yummy, ball-shaped cookies in a quart jar. For a jar topper,
take a new child's red sock and turn it inside out. Cut off the toe end and
tie a bit of string tightly around the opening and knot. Turn sock right
side out. Now, fold up the cuff of the sock to form a little red, knit
stocking cap. Place it on top of the jar lid. If you desire, glue a jingle
bell to the end of the hat. Wasn't that easy? And so cute!!!

Grandma's Snowballs

7/8 cup (not quite a full cup) real butter, softened
3 Tbsp. powdered sugar
1-7/8 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup ground pecans (very finely chopped)
1 tsp. vanilla
Additional powdered sugar, as needed

Mix all well and roll into balls. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 300
degrees for 40 minutes. Cool slightly and place in a small paper bag with
powdered sugar and close bag and shake. Store in a covered container.
To give as a gift, place inside the quart jar with the red stocking cap.
