A Welcome Letter from Tammy . . .


Hi!  My name is Tammy Davis, and I’m the new moderator for the 30 Day Gourmet Message Boards.  I’m very excited to be part of the 30 Day Gourmet team, and am looking forward to getting to know you all.  Allow me to introduce myself, so you can get to know me as well!

 

I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart for 17 years now, and we have 3 kids.  My daughter is 8, and my sons are 6 and 3 years old.  Before the kids, I was a travel agent for many years.  Now I enjoy being a stay-at-home-mom.  The final member of our family is Teddy Bear, a 4 year old Yorkshire Terrier.  Besides cooking, my interests are my church, scrapbooking and adoption.  I love to read, and also sew when I get the chance.  We’ve lived in Ohio all of our married life, until last summer, when we moved to the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia.  We live in the country, in the shadow of the Appalachian Mountains, in a brand new house on 1 acre.  We’re enjoying gardening and landscaping, and are looking forward to painting and papering the all-white walls in our house. 

 

A friend showed me her 30 Day Gourmet manual in February 1998.  She ordered it after seeing Nanci and Tara on a TV show.  Just a month before, I had tried a different once-a-month-cooking plan and was disappointed when it didn’t live up to my expectations.  So when I saw the 30 Day Gourmet manual, I read it cover-to-cover and KNEW it was THE book!  I ordered my own manual and have been cooking with 30 Day Gourmet ever since!  I like to cook by myself, and usually cook for a month at a time around the 15th of the month.  My favorite thing about 30 Day Gourmet is that it is SO flexible… you can make it work for you!  My kids are very happy I discovered 30 Day Gourmet… their favorite place to eat is  “Mom’s Café”, as they named our kitchen table!  When we moved last year, my Freezer Cooking Manual was the only cookbook I took with me.  All the rest got packed and went into storage until our house was finished.  I won’t be without my 30 Day Gourmet manual!!  It saves me time, money and a lot of stress!!
